HOW TO TRANSLATE A DOCUMENT

STEP 1
Analysing your project
The very first step of any translation project is analysing your needs in order to determine the most suited solution for the content you're looking to translate.
STEP 2
Making a quote
After analysing your needs and the work to carry out, it's time to make a quote. I always offer a quote by word, more precise than a quote by page, for your files to be translated.

STEP 3
Translating
Here, we are at the very core of my job, the translation itself. During this phase, I will carry out all the researches I need to translate your document as accurately as possible.
STEP 4
Proofreading
During this step, I'm first using a spell checker on my translation. I've been using Antidote for years which is a precious tool to spot typos that might have slipped in the translation.
Then, I'm carrying a thorough proofreading of the translation. I focus mainly on consistency and on making your text sound as natural as possible in French.

STEP 5
Delivery
During this last step, I carry out a final review of your file. As I'm working on a software and not directly on your file, I make sure everything has been translated and that the layout of your file is similar to the original.
After this last review, I send you your translated file by e-mail.
